I've taken my first photo on our new dslr camera today... We went for the Nikon D3100 and brought two lenses for it (the 18-55 which came in the box and also spent a bit on a 55-200). We've also got a few extra bits like filters, a bag and a filter cleanser. Thanks to everyone from Eduserv who contributed to my leaving present, it should help us to take some great photos over the next few years. Also thanks to Nick and Pete for offering lots of advice - you were far more helpful than the nasty man in London Camera Exchange!
On to my first photo...
Given that we live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, you could be forgiven for thinking it would be one of the highlights of bath including the Bath Abbey, Royal Crescent or even Great Pultney Street. But as its raining and overcast I decided a much better composition could be found in my living room with some dying flowers...
All the gear and no idea, but at least I'm warm and dry!!
Yay! Post #1 - can't wait to 'ready' you guys again...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely display of photography. Ansel Adams eat your heart out. I look forward to seeing both of your day to day adventures abroad. Have fun!
