Nizamuddin

I’ve managed to get onto a great tour group called 7 cities. The premise is that over the next seven weeks we will be visiting 7 sections of Delhi, with different groups giving presentations on their allocated area.

I’m in a group with four people and we have been given Nizamuddin – a Muslim area in west Delhi which has lots of interesting things to see including Humayun’s Tomb and the Nizamuddin's Shrine.

I’ve been there twice now to acquaint myself with the area, get an understanding of the history and find some interesting places to take the group to on the tour. It’s a fascinating place with so much to see –  people say that India is an attack on the senses and thats very true of this area!

The Daragh was so busy you couldn't really move - although we did go on possibly one of the busiest days of the year!

Delicious street food... that may have been responsible for my funny tummy the next day :-)
