Lunch...

This is just a quick post, as I feel I need to share my lunch experience today!  On the High Commission we have 2 options for buying lunch, the western style cafe or the local canteen.  The food at the local canteen in about a quarter of the price of the other place, and very tasty!  However, it is a bit of a walk (and at the moment that is slow!), so I decided to take advantage of their delivery service today.  The phone call was slightly confused, he listed lots of options, but the only word I recognised was chicken, and so I successfully ordered a chicken curry and rotis!  About 10min later a guy came to my desk with my lunch - brilliant!!  And it cost less that 1 pound!   However, it came in a plastic bag?!?   I managed to find a plate and spoon, but the plate was too small, so I had to eat out of the bag! I don't recommend trying to eat curry out a plastic bag at your desk! I'm now covered in curry and so is my desk!   Luckily, the curry was amazing, so worth the mess!

I must bring in a bowl and cutlery on Monday, I think my lunch orders from the canteen could become a regular habit!  Mmmmmm!  xx
